The Tractor Lad
I started restoring tractors in 1991 when I was 12, My Dad bought a 1949 Ferguson TEA20 home (HNP 417). With very little knowledge in those days we achieved an engine rebuild and a cosmetic restoration in a matter of months and we displayed the tractor in August 1991 at Arley Show. Our neighbour and good friend Ken Briggs helped us achieve this goal. When I left school aged 16 I did various jobs until settling on restoring vintage and classic tractors. Today in a workshop in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside I restore all manner of tractors, Ferguson, Massey Ferguson, Fordson, Ford and Allis Chalmers to name the more popular models. I've also done more unusual tractors such as Kramer and Eicher. I do every area of tractor restorations from engine rebuilds to full resprays. For more information see the 'Your Tractor' page on the website. Also on the website there is a picture gallery of some of the restorations I've done over the years, I try and update it as much as possible.
You may have read my articles in Tractor & Farming Heritage magazine, Tractor & Machinery, Classic Massey & Ferguson Enthusiast or Ford & Fordson Tractors most of my restorations feature in these publications. Ive been writing for these magazines since 2006, If you've seen a tractor in the magazine and you want a similar one restored then contact me via [email protected] or on 07760450567 and who knows your tractor could feature in a future issue of a magazine.
